About Shams
I am a detail-oriented tutor who strives for the confidence of my students in their abilities! I have a strong foundation in English, reading, essay writing, proofreading, and much more, through my intensive coursework throughout college. I take pride in my professionalism, maintaining clear communication, and providing proper materials for each student. Students can rely on me to be extremely organized, prepared, patient, and supportive for their comfort!

I like to take a personalized approach, learning exactly what helps each individual person and how they learn. Being a student myself, taking a student- to- student approach will allow me to adapt to each of your needs, goals, and learning styles!
I would say I like to build student confidence through guided practice, clear explanations, and constructive feedback. Through rereading previous work, identifying problems, and practice, I end my lessons with a clear improvement plan!
I am an extremely patient and detail-oriented person, which allows me to explain details simply and in a relatable manner. I ensure that my students understand the material, not memorize it!
