About Carlota

Hi, I'm Carlota! I'm a Spanish-Irish 21-year-old university student. I am currently a fourth year student of International Relations and Global Communication.

My experience in teaching started almost 6 years ago, giving private English lessons to children, supporting them through their schoolwork and preparing them for exams, through a combination of their textbook work, but always prioritizing their enjoyment and proper understanding of the topics through games and conversation. Since then, I have taught adults and people of other levels, as well as teaching Spanish. My aim in teaching is to make sure the student always understands what they are learning, in order for them to be able to apply it in their personal day-to-day life. Through the use of personalized examples and exercises created for each individual student, I aim to help them enjoy the language-learning process, and support their improvement through all of the levels.

About the lesson

I have been teaching English and Spanish as a private tutor for just over 5 years. I like to focus my lessons on more practical and hands-on activities, that will help you become more confident with the language. This way, learning the theory and the technical aspects of it will become much more comfortable.

I have taught a wide range of ages, from young children to adults, so I am able to adapt very well to different individual needs or characteristics. I prioritize getting to know the student's capabilities, as well as strengths and areas for improvement at the beginning, in order to make sure that the classes are as effective, dynamic and comfortable as possible. My objective is always to make learning an enjoyable experience, and an environment where you can feel comfortable to try your best and improve!
