About Alec
With 10 years of experience in vocal training, I’ve guided students from basic pitch exercises to stage-ready performance. My journey began through formal classical music education and evolved into contemporary coaching across various genres. I've helped students prepare for public concerts, competitions, and studio recordings, focusing equally on technique and emotional delivery. I believe every voice is unique and deserves tailored attention. That’s why my teaching blends vocal science with creative flexibility. Whether you want to sing for leisure or pursue it professionally, my lessons are structured to suit your goals and voice type. I’ve worked with a diverse group of students—from children discovering music to adults reigniting a passion. Beyond singing, I’m passionate about helping people find their true voice—literally and metaphorically. Many students have found increased confidence and emotional resilience through this journey. Singing lessons in Manchester focus on unlocking the full potential of your voice, whether you're a beginner or an experienced vocalist. You’ll start with proper breathing techniques, vocal warm-ups, and exercises tailored to improve pitch accuracy. The sessions also include dynamic range expansion, helping you to reach both your low and high notes with control and clarity. We integrate vocal health habits from day one to ensure long-term sustainability of your voice. Over the course of the programme, students work through musical pieces that align with their interests—ranging from classical, pop, jazz, or theatre. This personalisation helps maintain engagement and introduces students to a broad array of techniques and interpretations. In addition, the lesson structure includes ear training and harmony work, enabling singers to not only perform solos but also blend in group or ensemble settings confidently. Each lesson ends with performance techniques including mic handling, posture, and expressive delivery. You’ll also get guidance on building stage presence and confidence. Regular mock performances help overcome anxiety and prepare you for any musical opportunity, whether it's a local show, recording session, or audition.
