About Meryjoy
Do you want to know a secret? Learning English doesn’t have to be hard—it can be an amazing adventure! My name is Teacher Joy, a passionate professional educator from the beautiful country of the Philippines, and I am ready to bring joy and academic excellence to your young learners. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, majoring in General Education, and I am a TEFL-certified teacher fully equipped to teach English as a foreign language. For over two wonderful years, I have experienced teaching brilliant kids from different parts of Asia—specifically China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia—which has allowed me to master the art of handling various student personalities, attention spans, and language levels. In my classroom, I strictly believe in student-centered learning, ensuring my classes are always fun, happy, energetic, and highly interactive. I specialize in helping my students master phonics, expand their vocabulary, perfect their pronunciation, and confidently build simple English sentences through lively songs, interactive games, and colorful props. By using TPR (Total Physical Response), I make sure that even absolute beginners can follow along and understand the lesson easily. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing my students smile and feel proud when they start speaking English completely on their own.
