About Heather
My teaching approach is focused on building a strong, healthy voice through a mix of technique, body awareness, and personal expression. I start with breath control, helping students find steady, grounded airflow using guided exercises and simple yoga-inspired warmups. We work on vocal stamina by building strength gradually, always listening to the body and avoiding strain. Pitch matching and ear training are part of each session, using clear intervals and call-and-response singing to sharpen accuracy and confidence. I support singers in shaping their resonance for a fuller, more expressive sound, using imagery, placement exercises, and body mapping techniques. Whether you're training for solo performances or blending in a group, I help you develop clarity, control, and dynamic range. I guide students who want to stand out with their unique voice and those who want to contribute powerfully within an ensemble. We focus on tone, timing, and balance—always with attention to the music’s emotional meaning. Lessons are tailored to your style and pace. I create a safe, encouraging space to explore, make mistakes, and grow. My goal is to help you build a voice that feels natural, expressive, and free. Together, we unlock the joy of singing with confidence and ease.

I am a singing tutor with over eight years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice. My teaching philosophy is rooted in holistic methods that honor the entire body and mind. I combine precise physical alignment with breath awareness to unlock each student’s full vocal potential. I believe the body is an instrument, and I use body mapping techniques to establish efficient, healthy singing habits. My warmups are inspired by yoga principles, blending gentle movement with mindful breath. I guide students through tension-release exercises that free the voice and calm the nervous system. Vocal expression is at the heart of my work, and I’m dedicated to helping you speak—and sing—from the heart. I encourage exploration of World Music, Chanting, Folk Fusion, and Healing Sound. These genres nourish the soul and expand your creative horizons. My lessons are both structured and intuitive, tailored to your unique voice and goals. Every session is an invitation to connect more deeply with yourself. I’m passionate about helping you discover your voice as a tool for well-being and creative freedom.
