About Emma
I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2017 with a BA in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and a Minor in Advertising from the Marshal School of Business.
After graduating I began to work for USC under the division of University Communications & Events as an Event Producer and have just completed my fifth year.
Each semester I work with students helping to improve their professionalism and organizational skills. I have hired many students and know what employers are looking for in a resume.
I have a friendly and fun approach to learning. I like to have fun while getting the job done.

I like to learn about my student's specific needs and cater my lesson plans to each individual. We can work through homework assignments together or set a personal goal and create attainable steps to achieve it.
My teaching style frequently involves creating a list of goals that break down the writing or speaking process into manageable steps that can be applied to any project. I want to work toward the student's independently sustained future success.
My goal is to teach skills that my students can take with them throughout their life. Writing and public speaking are skills we use on the daily no matter what career path each student takes. Often, those best able to express themselves through writing and speaking will advance quickly in their industry. I want to give my students the confidence and the tools to tackle any writing or speaking project they may encounter through simple and universal steps.
I specialize in 8-12 grade reading, writing, public speaking and resume building.
