About Elisei
I am a High Distinction student at the University of Sydney, studying Advanced Computing. I completed the IBDP with a 95 ATAR and scored 5/5 on the AP Computer Science exam. As a tutor, I try to take as much of the learning burden off you as possible. - I create self-made cheat sheets for the topics we cover - We work through the problems together at the end to make sure you actually understood everything by the end of the lesson - I give you homework to help lock in what you’ve learned and make it stick long-term I work with all ages and make complex topics easy to understand. With 3 years of experience mentoring kids (3D modeling, robotics, visual coding) I’ve learned how to explain things as clearly as possible.

Lesson structure will vary depending on your goal: learning programming, preparing for an exam, etc. Usually, the lesson is 1.5 hours: - First 45 min – Concepts and theory - Last 45 min – Guided practice At the end, I will give you homework, and we will discuss the topic of the next lesson so I can prepare. As a bonus, I prepare self-made cheat sheets to ease your pain in learning coding :) I’m also available outside of lessons for any questions or advice. Lessons are for anyone, from any age up to first-year uni level.

Elisei is has currently been tutoring me in Python for my university unit for the past 4 months, and as a complete beginner, his lessons have greatly helped my ability to comprehend this difficult unit. His knowledge and expertise to easily communicate every topic and patiently reiterate it whenever I had trouble understanding made me feel at ease knowing that I could rely on him and ask questions regularly. I definitely recommend him to anyone that is new to coding and seeking to learn new things in the computer science field.
