About Jia Xin
Hello! I'm a History student at the University of Western Australia, and I'm passionate about helping students discover that history is far more than memorizing dates and facts, it's about understanding the stories, connections, and events that shaped our world today. I understand the challenges students face with history. Having completed my own secondary education and now studying at university level, I know what it takes to succeed in history courses. My experience with the IGCSE curriculum means I'm particularly familiar with its assessment style, essay requirements, and the analytical skills it demands.

I keep things interactive and engaging by trying to connect historical events to things you actually care about in the modern world, and instead of just memorizing facts, we'll explore the why and how behind events. Timelines, discussions, and visual aids to suit your learning style!
I've helped my younger sisters with their studies, which taught me how to explain complex topics in simple terms and adapt to different learning styles. Being a current student myself, I know exactly what it's like to struggle with difficult concepts, so I'm patient and understanding.
Lessons can vary, usually I go for 1-2 hours. Online or in-person (depends on the location).
