About Dr

Science. Empathy. Real-World Insight. Welcome to an immersive journey into the science of the mind, behavior, and mental health—taught by Dr. Vaidehee, a practicing psychiatrist with over three years of clinical and research experience in the field of psychology and mental health. As a medical doctor and mental health professional, I approach psychology with a unique lens—bridging the gap between theoretical understanding and real-life applications drawn from my ongoing therapeutic work and academic research. Through this course, you’ll explore: Core concepts in cognitive, developmental, and abnormal psychology The biological basis of behavior and mental illness Evidence-based approaches to therapy and psychiatric care Practical case discussions from clinical settings Psychological tools for emotional regulation, resilience, and empathy My work spans across outpatient therapy, hospital psychiatry, and mental health startups, with a focus on young adult mental health, neurodiversity, and trauma-informed care. I also actively contribute to research in areas like burnout, ADHD, depression, and somatic symptom disorders, and I believe in integrating science with soul to make psychology both rigorous and deeply human. Whether you're an aspiring psychologist, a curious student, or someone passionate about understanding yourself and others—this course will help you think critically, feel deeply, and engage meaningfully with the world around you. Let’s learn together, through the lens of compassion and clinical insight.

About the lesson

Explore the Mind. Understand Behavior. Empower Change.

Welcome to a dynamic and clinically informed exploration of psychology, guided by Dr. Vaidehee, a practicing psychiatrist and mental health advocate. This class blends scientific rigor with real-world insights, providing students with a comprehensive foundation in human behavior, cognition, emotion, and mental health.

We’ll go beyond textbook definitions—diving into the neurobiology of behavior, the psychological roots of emotion and personality, and the clinical frameworks used in diagnosing and treating mental disorders.

Whether you’re a student of science, aspiring mental health professional, or simply curious about the human mind, this course will help you:

Understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected

Explore key psychological theories through a modern, trauma-informed lens

Discuss real clinical scenarios and evidence-based interventions

Challenge myths and misinformation around mental health

Build empathy and insight into both your own mind and others'

Expect critical thinking, rich discussions, and a safe space to explore complex human experiences—with the backing of neuroscience, psychiatry, and therapeutic practice.
