About Mia

Hi, I’m Mia! I’m a university student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for English and teaching. I achieved high results in English (study score 45, overall ATAR 93.10) throughout school and have experience tutoring students of different ages and abilities. I’m patient, encouraging, and adaptable, and I focus on understanding how each student learns best. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to build confidence and independent thinking so they feel more comfortable and capable in English. I have a working with children's check and am happy to offer lower rates for Primary/Early Secondary.

About the lesson

I am an experienced English tutor who works with primary and secondary school students, including VCE level. I have a strong background in English, having achieved high results myself, and I focus on building students’ confidence, analytical writing skills, and understanding of texts. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether that’s improving essay structure, analyzing themes and symbols, developing vocabulary, or preparing for assessments. I aim to make English feel clearer and more manageable while helping students reach their full potential.

Mia is really smart and chill and she has like alot of presentations and teaching materials I can use when I study, shes really nice too, and she always checks in during the week if i have any troubles with topics at school and if i dont know how to do my homework she helps me in our class if i ask. Shes just really nice and helpful 10/10!

Wonderful and polite tutor, very soft spoken and professional. My daughter is very shy and was struggling to ask her teacher for help in class, but felt very comfortable asking Mia. She clearly helped explain tough concepts like percentage conversions and helped my daughter achieve well above average for her NAPLAN. Will be having her as a long term tutor for my daughter!
