About Nonato
Dynamic, performance-first music educator with a strong rock attitude and experience in remote teaching, in-person band-based programs, 101 lessons, and stage production. Expert level on guitar and bass technique, perfect pitch, sight-reading, and improvisation skills, plus real-world touring and production experience that translates into confident, career-minded students. Comfortable teaching all ages, I customize and adapt the curriculum including technique and music theory with ensemble rehearsal, song arrangement, and live performance preparation. I started teaching remotely back in 2011 and since then I never stopped. I attended more than 100 students and I have plenty of testimonials about my strategy and efficiency as a teacher. So with all my experience here's the most relevant questions I get from new people interested:
What experience level do I need to start lessons?
- You can begin with zero experience. My step-by-step curriculum builds your foundational skills from day one. If you already play, we’ll tailor lessons to challenge you and accelerate your growth.
Which musical styles and genres do you teach? Can you arrange custom pieces (e.g., video-game themes)?
- I cover rock, pop, jazz, funk, fusion, metal, orchestral, country, blues, anime, and video-game music. Custom arrangements are welcome! Just share your favorite tracks or themes, and I’ll craft them for you.
What gear and software are required for guitar sessions?
- Guitar or bass (acoustic or electric), computer, tablet, or smartphone with a stable internet connection, headphones or speakers for clear audio, and optionally an audio interface + condenser microphone for studio-quality sound.
What online lesson platform do you use, and do I need to install special software?
- We'll meet via Zoom with no paid plan required. Install the free Zoom app (or use your browser), grant mic/camera access, and you’re ready to go.
How long is each lesson, and how often should I schedule?
- Lessons are 55 minutes long. Weekly sessions ensure steady progress, though bi-weekly or twice-weekly scheduling is available based on your goals and calendar.
How will my progress be tracked and reported?
- We'll use two interactive tools; Skillset Checkpoints - a personalized roadmap charting your mastery of key techniques; Song List Tracker - a live spreadsheet showing completion percentages across song difficulty tiers
Do you provide a student portal or resources between lessons?
- Yes. Every student gets a free private Notion workspace containing lesson notes, tabs, scores, backing tracks, exercises, and a practice planner.
