About Zara

With over 6 years of piano teaching experience and a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology (Keyboard Production), I help students explore the art of cinematic composition. I am passionate about writing music for film, television, and video games and enjoy guiding students through every stage of creation. My teaching style is fun, interactive, and customized for learners at all levels, including school, college, adults, and professional musicians. Lessons focus on melodic writing, orchestration, synthesizer sound design, and proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs). I have worked with Intermediate, Advanced, and Professional/Expert students, helping them build both technical skills and creative confidence. I combine theory with hands-on projects, encouraging students to experiment with motifs, textures, and thematic development. My approach emphasizes expressive storytelling through music while building strong technical foundations. Students gain experience creating full arrangements, balancing melody, harmony, and rhythm. Feedback is detailed and constructive, designed to enhance both skill and artistic expression. I also focus on practical techniques for orchestrating and producing cinematic music. About the lesson
