About Tara
I am a versatile vocalist with a BA degree in Voice from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. With experience as a music teacher and facilitator, as well as a background in live performance and backing vocals, I bring a dynamic and skilled approach to vocal instruction.
I most recently performed as lead vocalist with First Performers in Siblu Villages in France and with Terra da Perfeicao in Albufeira. I currently perform in multiple venues across London and have been working with cutting-edge, jazz & pop, a cappella group ‘Camden Voices’ as well as a session vocalist for artists such as Harry Jowett & State Assembly.
I began performing at a very young age and fostered my love for singing through musical theatre and choirs as a child. This gave me the inspiration to teach singing to young children. I have since taught singing and music to all ages - most recently with Pathways 2 Performance in London, providing workshops and performance opportunities for young women in the performing arts as well as 1:1 singing tutoring in Cherry Pie Music School in London.

My teaching style is supportive, practical, and student-centered. I believe singing should feel freeing rather than intimidating, so my priority is creating a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel safe to explore their voice without pressure or judgment.
I tailor every lesson to the individual, taking into account their experience level, musical tastes, goals, and any confidence barriers they may have. Whether you want to sing for enjoyment, improve technique, or work towards performance, lessons are always paced in a way that feels achievable and motivating.
My lessons combine solid vocal technique with musical expression. We typically work on:
Healthy breathing and breath control
Vocal range and smooth transitions between chest and head voice
Pitch, tone, and control
Building confidence and reducing vocal tension
Song interpretation, emotion, and storytelling
I like to use songs you genuinely enjoy as learning tools, alongside targeted vocal exercises. This keeps lessons engaging while ensuring technique is built in a musical, real-world way.
Lesson Length
Lessons are usually 45 or 60 minutes, which allows time for warm-ups, technical work, and song practice without feeling rushed. Shorter sessions can be arranged if preferred.
I am an active singer, songwriter, and performer with experience across soul, pop, rock, and singer-songwriter styles. Alongside my own music career, I have experience teaching adult beginners and developing singers, helping students build both technical foundations and confidence in their voice. I am currently teaching students 1:1 in a music school in London. I also facilitate music workshops for singers who struggle with confidence.
My teaching is informed by real performance experience, not just theory, and I focus on techniques that are sustainable, healthy, and practical for everyday singing.
My lessons are suitable for:

Children and teenagers
Developing singers looking to improve technique and confidence
Anyone who loves music and wants to feel more comfortable using their voice
