About Rachel
After teaching at the collegiate level while pursuing my doctorate, I taught for a year at Queens College. Then I moved to high school teaching at a Manhattan independent school, where I have been for nearly 20 years. I love working with high school students! It's incredibly gratifying to help them build their skills and get to a place where they are proud of their work!

We can jump right into working on current assignments, or even better, we'll start by going over some of your prior writing. That will help me get a sense of your strengths as a writer, and a sense of what we need to work on. Perhaps that's clarity, or organization, thesis writing, or argumentation. Whatever the issues, we'll work on them and you'll soon see your skills improve. I am happy to work with high school and college or pre-college students.
