About Zion

I am an ESL tutor with 9+ years of experience teaching high school and college students, committed to helping learners gain fluency, confidence, and academic success. My teaching philosophy emphasises personalised instruction, ensuring each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, level, and learning style.

I combine grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking exercises with interactive activities and real-life examples to make lessons engaging and practical. I create a supportive environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and confidence-building.

Over the years, I have helped students improve language skills, excel academically, and communicate effectively in both educational and real-world settings.

About the lesson

I follow a C³P framework—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, Problem-solving—to teach ESL effectively. Creativity is nurtured through storytelling, writing exercises, and collaborative projects, which inspire students to express themselves freely and think beyond traditional language exercises.

Communication is central to my methodology. I encourage students to engage in discussions, debates, and role-playing exercises, building fluency, comprehension, and confidence. Compassion drives my teaching philosophy; I adapt lessons to individual needs, celebrating progress and providing constructive guidance in a supportive environment.

Problem-solving is emphasised through scenario-based tasks, analytical exercises, and real-life problem-solving activities, giving students the ability to use English practically while enhancing critical thinking skills. Additionally, I teach complementary subjects such as reading, writing, and communication skills to reinforce overall learning.

By combining these four pillars, I aim to develop learners who are not only proficient in English but also creative, confident, and prepared to tackle challenges in academic and professional contexts.
