About Mitchell
I have spent the last 12 years teaching Spanish to High School and College students who want to improve their language skills and achieve their academic goals. During this time, I have successfully guided around 150 students through structured lessons that focus on confidence, communication, and consistent improvement. Teaching is my passion because it allows me to help students grow every day.
My teaching philosophy is based on making learning simple, enjoyable, and effective. I believe students learn best when they actively participate in lessons, so I create interactive classes that include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I explain difficult concepts in easy language and encourage students to practice regularly through conversations and practical exercises.
I also include Spanish culture, traditions, and everyday expressions to help students understand how the language is used naturally. Regular revision, quizzes, and feedback sessions allow students to measure their progress while staying motivated.
One of my biggest achievements has been helping many students improve their grades and communicate more confidently in Spanish. Watching students overcome challenges and reach their goals gives me great satisfaction and motivates me to continue improving as a tutor.
My classroom is built on respect, patience, and encouragement. I want every student to enjoy learning Spanish while developing skills that will remain valuable throughout their education and future careers.

My teaching approach is centered on creativity, critical thinking, mentoring, and accountability because I believe these qualities help students become confident and independent Spanish learners. Every lesson is designed to encourage communication, participation, and continuous improvement.
I use interactive conversations, storytelling, role plays, language games, pronunciation activities, videos, reading materials, listening practice, and writing exercises to keep lessons engaging while strengthening every language skill.
Critical thinking is developed by helping students understand grammar through logical explanations, recognize vocabulary patterns, and express their own ideas in Spanish. This allows learners to build confidence and solve communication challenges independently.
As a mentor, I encourage students to stay motivated, remain curious, and believe in their ability to improve. I provide patient guidance and constructive feedback while creating a supportive learning environment where every question is welcomed.
Accountability helps students remain focused on their goals. I establish clear learning plans, review previous lessons, assign practical activities, monitor progress regularly, and provide detailed feedback that encourages long-term success.
Besides Spanish, I teach grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation practice, reading comprehension, writing skills, listening exercises, beginner Spanish, DELE preparation, travel Spanish, and Hispanic culture. My objective is to help every learner communicate confidently and naturally in Spanish.
