I have been teaching for over 20 years and love to teach music. I have degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and the New England Conservatory of Music. My specialty is in teaching violin, viola, beginning keyboard, music theory, and beginning voice. My lessons consist of technique and general music training that include aural skills, singing, rhythmic internalization, and music theory. My lessons are a lot of fun because I have high standards, but also maintain a lighthearted atmosphere. In addition to music, I am also a psychology researcher and have studied and published articles on the latest experimental education practices. So my lessons tend to be very different from a typical music lesson. I teach violin and viola from beginning to advanced levels. My students have ranged in age from 3 to 85 years old and I feel that I can teach students at any age or level. Thank you!

Deadly! Very awesome. Amazing teaching style, and pace, and awesome comfortable space. Very accommodating. Was patient with my and my circumstance, and met me exactly where I was at. I mostly just wanted help getting my violin set up and enough to get me going. May do one more lesson if that’s what my payment does since the first one was free!

As a student of Elisa's for over four years now, I am proud to call her my viola teacher! Elisa's pedagogy and teaching experience are rich, and they work for musicians of all ages. Elisa has cultivated my growth as a violist from a beginning orchestra student to the college level. Having helped me prepare for auditions, solo performances, and orchestra concerts over the years, Elisa has helped me develop techniques and practice methods that I've applied to all types of music literature. Furthermore, Elisa's studio is the perfect balance between high standards and an encouraging & positive atmosphere. Her passion for music and her students is so evident to me, making for a unique and impactful learning experience. As a student of Elisa's, I've learned to play not just the right notes & rhythms, but to play with passion, intent, and joy. For anyone interested in music lessons, I wholeheartedly recommend Elisa.
Elisa has been my teacher for almost 4 years now! She is very good at teaching and has helped me improve my skills in multiple ways. Elisa is very kind, sweet and understanding. She can teach all violin levels and is very patient as well. I recommend Ms. Elisa! :)
I've been taking violin lessons from Elisa for a year and a half. Her love for teaching is very evident in every lesson, and I never leave without having learned something new. She's very patient, accommodating, and makes each lesson a fun experience, and I always look forward to the next lesson each week. I would very much recommend her for anyone wanting to learn how to play the violin!
