About Nena
You likely want a teacher who prioritizes clean intonation, double stops, and orchestral playing. Having earned my Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School, I work with a wide range of students.
I focus on posture, hold, spiccato, and staccato bowing to build a solid foundation. After teaching 465 individuals, I know that technical control changes everything. It is rewarding to watch a student master a difficult passage through deliberate practice. Feel free to get in touch if you would like to explore these techniques together.

Ever wonder how to make home practice feel like a productive session with a partner? I provide recorded playback of tricky passages so you can analyze your intonation and bowing away from our scheduled time. This method allows my 13 years of experience at The Juilliard School to directly assist your daily routine. My pacing is designed to balance the refinement of small details with the enjoyment of playing full pieces.
I am happy to adjust the challenge level whenever you feel ready for more demanding repertoire. Does this approach to feedback match your goals for learning the violin?
