About Kate
I am a violin tutor with 8 years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in String Performance. Throughout my career, I have worked with students preparing for recitals, auditions, examinations, and personal musical goals. Teaching has allowed me to share both technical knowledge and a deep appreciation for music.
My lessons focus on helping students improve interpretive skills, bowing techniques, stage presence, and musical understanding. I believe every learner deserves patient guidance and clear instruction that supports individual development. Building confidence is just as important as developing technical ability.
I believe music has the power to inspire growth, discipline, and creativity. Helping students discover their strengths and enjoy the learning process is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching. I look forward to supporting learners as they continue their violin journey.

My violin lessons are designed to help students develop strong skills while maintaining a positive and relaxed learning experience. I use practical practice methods, listening exercises, mental preparation strategies, and step-by-step guidance to make progress feel achievable. Lessons focus on consistency, confidence, and long-term musical growth.
Students work on bow control, intonation, tone production, rhythm accuracy, posture awareness, and performance preparation. I also introduce visualization techniques and focused practice routines that help learners improve efficiently. Every lesson is adapted to individual strengths, goals, and learning styles.
I enjoy supporting students who want to become more confident musicians while developing healthy practice habits. Personalized feedback helps learners overcome challenges and celebrate progress along the way. My goal is to create an encouraging environment where students can thrive musically.
