About Isla
My passion for violin began through a fascination with its expressive sound and versatility. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Studies and eventually dedicate my career to teaching. Over the past 6 years, I have helped students build technical skills while developing their unique musical voices.
I believe successful learning happens when students feel supported and encouraged. My teaching style combines structure with flexibility, allowing each learner to progress according to their needs. I focus on creating a positive atmosphere where questions, exploration, and growth are welcomed.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy performing, studying violin repertoire, and learning about different performance traditions. These experiences enrich my lessons and provide students with practical musical insight. Helping learners discover their potential through violin remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

My violin lessons are designed to help students develop strong technique while enjoying the process of making music. We work on posture, bow control, intonation, rhythm, and listening skills through step-by-step instruction. I create a calm environment where learners can improve comfortably and confidently.
As skills develop, lessons include scales, shifting, articulation, vibrato, musical interpretation, and performance preparation. Students receive personalized feedback and practical exercises that strengthen both accuracy and confidence. Every lesson is adapted to support steady and meaningful progress.
I also help learners rebuild confidence after breaks, overcome performance worries, and establish productive practice habits. My goal is to make violin study feel achievable and rewarding. Students leave lessons with greater motivation, stronger technique, and a clearer understanding of their musical development.
