About Lily

My passion for violin began through fascination with orchestral music, emotional storytelling, and the expressive power of string performance. This passion inspired me to complete a Master’s Degree in Classical String Performance, where I explored advanced technique, musical interpretation, and performance artistry in greater depth. During the past 9 years, I have guided students from different musical backgrounds through lessons that feel supportive, organized, and motivating.

I enjoy helping students feel more comfortable with their instrument and overcome the uncertainty that often comes with learning violin. My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, healthy technique, and musical expression because every learner develops differently. Some students improve through technical repetition and exercises, while others gain confidence through creative interpretation and listening practice. I carefully adapt lessons to create a positive environment where students feel encouraged throughout their musical journey.

Outside teaching, I continue exploring violin repertoire, ensemble music, and performance traditions to keep my lessons fresh and inspiring. Staying connected to music allows me to bring artistic creativity and practical performance insight into every lesson. I want students to improve not only technically but also emotionally through stronger confidence and musical connection. Helping learners discover beauty and expression through violin remains one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching experience.

About the lesson

My violin lessons focus on helping students build strong musical foundations through patient guidance and structured practice. I teach bow control, finger positioning, intonation, rhythm training, tone production, vibrato, and musical interpretation using methods that make learning feel calm and manageable. Lessons are designed to help students understand both technique and musical expression instead of relying only on repetition. I create a welcoming environment where learners feel comfortable developing their confidence step by step.

Every lesson is adjusted according to the student’s experience level and musical goals. Beginners receive patient support with posture, open strings, hand coordination, and note reading, while advanced learners strengthen performance skills, phrasing, and technical accuracy. I include scales, listening exercises, duet practice, and interpretation discussions that help students improve naturally over time. Students preparing for performances or examinations receive focused support with preparation techniques and stage confidence.

I believe violin becomes more meaningful when students connect emotionally with music and feel confident expressing themselves through sound. My lessons aim to replace frustration and fear with enjoyment and steady progress through encouragement and structured learning. Many students gradually become more expressive, disciplined, and relaxed as their understanding improves. My goal is to help learners build strong violin foundations while developing creativity and confidence that support long-term musical growth.
