About Chris
I offer a diverse and modern approach to teaching the violin/viola, shaped by many years as an orchestral musician, performer and teacher. I believe that performance and stagecraft can be taught to anyone, as long as they enjoy the process of musical exploration. 1. Individualized Goals: Lessons are customized to support the student's specific objectives, such as:
- Auditions and performances for orchestras
- College entrance auditions
- Preparation for competitions
- Graded exams
- Learning purely as a hobby.
2. Lesson Duration: The standard session is 60 minutes. If the student later determines that longer sessions are required, arrangements can be made.
3. For the most consistent progress, lessons are ideally conducted once per week. However, both the frequency and timing can be adjusted upon request to fit your schedule.

Deadly! Chris is an excellent violin teacher who explains concepts in a way that is easy for his students to understand. What stands out most is his ability to break down complex skills into smaller, manageable steps, which makes learning more engaging and clear.
