About Donovan
"Teaching singing is a balancing act between technical rigor and the pure joy of making music. My ears are attuned to the delicate vibration of a student finding their resonance for the first time. I rely on my 13 years of teaching experience to guide vocalists through BELTING TECHNIQUE and proper breathing control.
Sight singing and diction are the foundation of my practice. I prioritize vocal health and care to ensure longevity. Supporting students through their NCEA exams remains a highlight of my week. Helping people connect with their own sound is the best part of my job."

I use the methods I gained during my Diploma in Music Performance from the University of Otago to simplify complex concepts. My process starts with a diagnostic vocal assessment for every new student. We map out a clear path for your growth.
