About Giny

I am a high school student who loves history! I went to the Atheneum College Hageveld and I passed history last year. I already have some experience with tutoring. I like to help my 14 year old sister with all her subjects. History has always been my favorite subject and even though you may think differently about it, I can ensure that you learn how to learn and remember history, and maybe even enjoy it a little ...;)

About the lesson

In history it is important that the student learns to understand the storyline. History consists of cause and effect and can be fun to learn, but very difficult if you don't know what is expected of you. We will look at this together! First, I sit down with you to see what exactly you're struggling with. I do this on the basis of talking and possibly looking at a written test / exam. We write down the problem together and what goals we want to achieve with the extra lessons. I keep this in a document so that our tutoring remains clear, but also that we do not forget what we did last time and make the tutoring as efficient as possible. Then we will treat the substance. Suppose you have a test in three weeks, we have just discussed and planned in our document what we are going to do exactly at a time. We pick up the material and I help you with donkey bridges to remember the material, but above all to understand how the line in history goes. Together we make useful summaries to properly understand the material and to extract the important parts from the text. In this way you can also learn well without additional tutoring through the summaries. After a few times I can ask you if you want to make a summary yourself, so that we not only learn for the upcoming test, but you also learn how to achieve satisfactory results yourself! I keep track of the progress in the document and I don't mind helping you in my spare time if you have a question or do a practice test for you. I am very flexible in terms of scheduling the lessons, so that we can easily sit several times a week if desired :)
