About Moriyanu
My name is Moriyanu, and I bring a strong academic and industry background to every lesson. I hold a degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick and currently work as a Software Engineer at Amazon. With over 5 years of tutoring and mentoring experience, I’ve helped students at GCSE, A-Level, and university level achieve academic excellence and build real confidence in their abilities. Beyond tutoring, I actively support multiple startups in developing their MVPs and consult with companies on technical strategy, product architecture, and scalability. I’m especially passionate about mobile development and distributed systems, and I enjoy working with low-level technologies such as LLVM. My lessons are shaped by a deep understanding of how technology is applied in the real world, and I’m committed to helping students not only succeed in exams but also build the skills and mindset they need to thrive in the future.

My lessons are highly interactive and focused on problem-solving rather than passive content memorisation. I prioritise helping students understand and apply what they learn by targeting the three key Ofqual learning objectives: knowledge, application, and analysis. Each session includes regular knowledge checks, exam-style questions, and spaced repetition to build retention. I tailor lessons to the student’s curriculum and use active recall techniques to prepare them for real assessment conditions. Typical lessons are 60 to 90 minutes, depending on level and goal. With over 5 years of tutoring and mentoring experience, I’ve worked with GCSE and A-Level students across a range of subjects including Maths, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Biology. I also support university students and aspiring software engineers preparing for FAANG interviews and technical assessments.
