About Sarah

Good to meet you! I'm an enthusiastic, conversional
person who enjoys supporting others to build their confidence and abilities in languages. I enjoy languages, food, culture and playing squash on the weekend!

I offer a discount to £12 for your first lesson!

I am a qualified as a CELTA TEFL teacher and have taught large classes of foreign students basic and advanced English. My teaching experience comes from Education First, a well renowned private language school in London. I have lead classes aged from 16-18 years to older generations and covered a wide range of nationalities.

I also offer tutoring in French and German. After achieving AAA grades in English, French and German at A-level, I then graduated with a BA Hons 2:1 in 2013 from Warwick University in French and German Studies. I have lived abroad in both countries. I studied grammar, listening, translation, literature and the socio-economic backgrounds of both countries.

I offer tutoring from beginner to A level standard in language skills including; grammar, conversation/pronunciation, understanding written texts and improving listening skills. I am available over video (Skype/Microsoft Teams/Google Hangouts) for tutoring sessions using screen sharing at flexible hours to suit your schedule. Each session would normally last for 1 hour and you can book as many slots as needed per week.

I offer consistent tutoring slots every week rather than acting as a one off tutor. I will teach you at the pace that you prefer to learn and shape the lessons around your goals. If you do not have particular goals and are looking to practise or refresh your skills, I am here to help!

I offer a customised approach to learning to each tutee. I ask that you bring your goals for learning and I will assist with creating a lesson structure. I am able to recommend resources to support further learning after our sessions too. I am very supportive if you are keen to maximise your learning between lessons by using online resources as my from experience, learning languages should be a constant activity. It should not only take place in the classroom as you can widen your knowledge by listening to languages on the radio, podcasts, reading articles that match your interests, playing games with learning flashcards online or even watching foreign films of an evening.

My approach is very targeted to your goals and needs. I will provide a lot of feedback to you during our sessions to enable you to improve as quickly as possible. My aim is to have a session which is very conversational and interactive as it's important to feel relaxed to enjoy learning languages!
