About 성우
My first language is Korean, and I was born and raised in Korea for 18 years. This means I bring not only native fluency but also a deep understanding of Korean culture, daily life, and social nuances. Whether you’re looking to learn casual conversation, formal business Korean, or the kind of language used in dramas and entertainment, I can guide you through it all with real-world examples and context. I earned a 1st grade score in the Korean section of the CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test), which is the highest level of achievement in Korea’s national exam. I’ve also tutored students in Korean, English, and programming — so I’m confident in my ability to break down complex topics and explain them in clear, simple language, especially if Korean is totally new to you. In our sessions, I’ll tailor the content to your level and interests. We’ll use fun and engaging materials like K-dramas, entertainment clips, and real-life dialogues so you stay motivated and entertained while learning. I’ll also host Q&A sessions where you can ask about anything — grammar, culture, slang, or specific phrases you’ve heard in shows. I’m here to make sure Korean feels natural and approachable for you.

My lessons will be interactive and fun! We’ll watch popular K-dramas and entertainment shows to keep things exciting, so you won’t get bored and will stay motivated and interested. If you don’t know anything about Korean, don’t worry. We’ll start with the basics. We’ll also have free talking sessions, and I’ll hold a Q&A session where you can ask any questions. I’ll always be prepared to answer your questions, and if you ever struggle with speaking Korean or understanding complicated concepts, I’ll explain everything in plain and simple English!
