About Luca

I am a young professional with a 1st class Bachelor's Degree in History and Politics. Originally Portuguese, I also speak Spanish and English natively with a passion for reading, especially classic literature!
I have worked with learners of all ages, from primary to high school students to university, allowing me to develop strong adaptability skills. My sessions are welcoming, well-organised, and designed to make progress feel achievable. With over three years of experience supporting global teams in a service delivery environment, I have developed strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills that translate directly into my teaching. I’ve trained new starters, created onboarding materials, and led knowledge-sharing initiatives, transforming concepts into digestible information. About the lesson

I offer engaging and personalised lessons, focusing on building confidence and critical thinking. As a neurodivergent person, I understand the importance of adapting learning to each person's needs- what works for one person may not work for the next. I tailor each session to the learner's level and style: whether that’s structured exam preparation, interactive homework or deep dives into complex topics. I use a mix of discussion, guided analysis and exercises to put the theory into practice. For language learners, I emphasise pronunciation and cultural context to build fluency naturally. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, with flexibility if needed. I provide clear learning objectives and regular feedback weekly.

Deadly! Luca is one of the loveliest people we have met. He is such a patient and kind tutor as well as being incredibly intelligent, eloquent and knowledgable about his subjects. He is the perfect teacher for anyone who needs to build confidence in their studies and progress towards obtaining qualifications to A level standard. He is helping my neurodivergent daughter to re-engage with history A level work, after missing several years of school, and we couldn’t have found a better match. He has helped to dispel the fear and anxiety around studying, whilst enabling her to advance her education with enthusiasm and tenacity.
