My approach to tutoring is rooted in clarity, relevance, and confidence-building. I focus on helping students not only understand the content but also learn how to think critically, make connections, and apply what they learn to real-life situations. With a strong background in business, accounting, and financial literacy, I bring a practical perspective that makes subjects like social studies, economics, and business meaningful and useful.

I use a student-centered, structured approach that meets learners where they are and builds upward. My key strategies include:
• Real-world application: I connect concepts to real-life decisions (money, careers, current events) to increase engagement
• Guided discussion: I ask purposeful questions that encourage students to think, not just memorize
• Chunking & Scaffolding: I break complex topics into manageable steps to support understanding
• Active learning: Case studies, scenarios, and problem-solving activities instead of passive note-taking
• Immediate feedback: I provide clear, specific feedback to build confidence and correct misunderstandings quickly

Each session is structured but flexible based on student needs:
1. Warm-Up (5–10 minutes)
Quick review or thought-provoking question to activate prior knowledge
2. Mini-Lesson (10–15 minutes)
Direct instruction with clear examples and real-world connections
3. Guided Practice (15–20 minutes)
We work through problems, scenarios, or discussion questions together
4. Independent Practice (10–15 minutes)
Student applies learning with support as needed
5. Wrap-Up & Reflection (5 minutes)
Review key takeaways and check for understanding
What sets me apart is my ability to connect content across disciplines. I naturally blend history, economics, business, and personal finance, which helps students see the bigger picture and how past events, policies, and economic systems shape their everyday lives.
I intentionally focus on student readiness beyond the classroom. Along with that intentionality, I understand that students respond when learning feels meaningful, so I design lessons that are discussion-based, real-world focused, and thought-provoking.
