About Jay
With 10 years of experience in guitar instruction, I specialize in jazz, blues, and fingerstyle techniques. My approach to teaching is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, focusing on enhancing their skills and fostering creativity. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your technique, my lessons are designed to help you achieve your musical goals and gain confidence in your playing.
Outside of teaching, I am passionate about music and enjoy exploring various genres and styles. My background includes extensive experience in both performing and composing, allowing me to bring a rich, practical perspective to my lessons. I am committed to helping my students develop their own musical voice and express themselves through their guitar playing.
In my free time, I love hiking, exploring new cuisines, and capturing beautiful landscapes through photography. These hobbies inspire my creativity and keep me connected to the world around me, which I believe enriches my teaching and keeps my lessons engaging and dynamic.

In each lesson, I focus on creating a supportive and engaging environment that encourages creativity and exploration. I use a combination of structured exercises, practical applications, and creative projects to make learning both effective and enjoyable. My goal is to help students develop a strong technical foundation while also fostering their personal musical expression. This approach ensures that students not only learn how to play the guitar but also how to enjoy and interpret music in their own unique way.
Outside of teaching, I am deeply passionate about music and continuously seek to expand my knowledge and skills. My hobbies, including hiking and photography, inspire my creative approach to teaching and provide fresh perspectives that I bring into the lessons.
