With 7 years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Guitar Performance, I specialize in preparing students for high-pressure auditions and professional opportunities. Whether it’s for touring bands, recording sessions, or advanced composition programs, I focus on helping students shine under pressure. My passion lies in unlocking each student’s full creative and performance potential. I believe that success in these environments requires more than just technique—it takes confidence, musicality, and mental preparation. My lessons cover all these areas, from refining your playing skills to building a strong stage presence. I work closely with each student to tailor practice routines and audition strategies that suit their unique strengths. I love guiding students through challenging repertoire and helping them develop their own musical voice. About the lesson

My teaching approach to guitar focuses on blending creative expression with solid technical skills, especially for lead playing. I help students develop strong soloing techniques, including phrasing, improvisation, and the art of blues and rock bends and vibrato. Lessons are designed to unlock each player’s unique voice and style.

We work on building confidence in improvisation by exploring scales, patterns, and musical ideas that fit different genres. I emphasize the importance of tone, timing, and feel, so solos don’t just sound good—they tell a story. I encourage experimenting with phrasing to create solos that are both expressive and memorable.

I connect well with The Jazz Explorer and The Teenage Rebel, providing guidance that balances challenge with support. My goal is to help students find their own soloing voice and play with confidence. Every lesson includes focused exercises and creative jams to reinforce skills. You’ll see progress week by week as you master techniques and gain freedom to improvise.
