About Mariah

I love tutoring, even though I am a medical doctor in Psychiatry. I have experience teaching all medical science courses, as well as sociology, ethics, literature and psychology courses.

I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and I've learned 2 things: 1. Try and make it fun (if you can laugh, you're not nervous about the material) and 2. Self-doubt will make you seem much worse at the material than you can be! We will work together to improve your confidence and reach those goals!

About the lesson

I believe every student can learn difficult science, math or test-taking material. What it takes is a good teacher who can break concepts down and make them easier to understand. Often someone can understand something, but not explain it to another. I bridge this gap, and work diligently to check in with students to make sure their needs are being met.

Our first lesson plan will consist of figuring out your goals and discovering your baseline. From there, we will come up with a plan of attack for how to best tackle the material. I teach all students, but mainly late high school age-professional.
