About Rieko
I have played piano for 20+ years, won numerous awards from competitions & universities, and I am a highly experienced music educator. I am very passionate about passing on my musical knowledge I've gained from my great mentors to the others. My teaching experience includes roles as a Constant & Kit Lambert Fellow at the Royal College of Music, where I mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students and led chamber and orchestral projects, and as a Piano Tutor with Lycaeum Music, where my students achieved Distinction in their ABRSM examinations. I have taught children aged between 5-18 and adults, developing lesson plans tailored to the individual’s needs and goals. As a performer, I have performed internationally in venues including the Sydney Opera House & St John’s Smith Square. I made my solo debut at the Royal Albert Hall in February 2024 to a sold-out audience and performed live on BBC Radio 3 as the featured artist on ‘Tune In’ with Sean Rafferty in June 2024. At my graduation for the Artistic Diploma of Performance at the Royal College of Music, I was awarded the Accelerate Award for proactivity, creativity and an entrepreneurial mind-set. I have participated in masterclasses with well-renowned musicians including Angela Hewitt, Maxim Vengerov and Roy Howat.

She strives to inspire her students and to cultivate love towards music regardless of whether they intend to pursue music or not as a career. - I have 8+ years experience in teaching piano 1-on-1. - I specialise in teaching classical, pop & contemporary piano. - I have experience in teaching according to ABRSM syllabus & Suzuki Method, but also for those who want to learn piano for fun. - Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced students all welcome. - I teach adults & children over the age of 8. - Lesson length: 45 mins - 2hr
