About Elian
I’m a French tutor with over 3 years of experience and a PhD in French Linguistics. I specialize in working with teenagers aged 13–18, using the energy of youth culture to bring language learning to life. My lessons often feature popular French music, viral social media trends, and clips from teen films to make the content fun and relevant. I believe that learning French should feel like discovering a new world—not just memorizing rules. That’s why I focus on conversational fluency and teaching modern slang students actually hear and use. I help teens build vocabulary that connects with their interests, from texting expressions to pop culture references. My approach is dynamic, interactive, and rooted in real-life language. I design each lesson to be memorable, relatable, and easy to apply. My goal is to help learners speak naturally and feel proud of their progress. My teaching approach for French is rooted in clear communication and real-life application. I use visual aids, fashion images, and lifestyle examples to make the language come alive. Each lesson builds on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, with a special focus on fashion-related topics. We explore how to describe clothing, talk about personal style, and understand popular trends from France.
Lessons are interactive and practical. Students learn how to express opinions on outfits, ask about sizes, and describe fabrics or cuts. I also help with reading French fashion magazines and understanding designer interviews. This improves both comprehension and vocabulary.
I work especially well with Immigrants/Newcomers and Hobbyists. My lessons are gentle, supportive, and designed to boost confidence in everyday conversations. I give extra focus to pronunciation and cultural phrases that are useful when talking about style and appearance.
