About Susanne

I believe that we open a door to a new world when we learn another language. German is complex, but not complicated. I open the doors for you, guide you safely. And you just need to go through those doors.

I am German Native and besides holding my University degree in German as Foreign Language, on top of that many years of experience in teaching German for all levels at Sydney University, High schools and nowadays one on one lessons online as a Freelancer.

My students are High school students, University students, adults or teenagers learning German for personal reasons, people that want to study at the best Universities in Switzerland or, Austria or Germany, people that want to work in Germany and wish to be fluent within 4 years. Whether we work on exam preparation or your very individual visions & goals, I am confident I can guide you and you will be surprised that learning with ease while having a clear structure is possible.

I myself speak 3 languages and I know how it feels when learning a new language. It can feel at times slow and frustrating, however, I promise you I can guide you with confidence with a lot of different creative exercises in mind. Since every person is unique and learns different I like to listen to what your preferred way of learning is and I will then find an enjoying way to progress steadily. My expertise, my experience in teaching and your motivation will be enough to succeed in whatever you imagine.

I guess, my goal would be to guide you to fluency in a relative short (though realistic time frame) What is your goal? Let me know!

About the lesson

I am always happy to offer a free complimentary class of 60min. No expectations afterward.

We would meet online on Teams (a free learning app). My approach to teaching depends on the individual, on your learning style and your likes and dislikes. Usually, I practice all skills: writing, reading, speaking, pronunciation, listening comprehension, grammar. I am creative and can turn every exercise into a wonderful exciting challenge.

I am Susanne, a German Native and with University degree (5 years Magister) in German as Foreign Language. I taught 10 years German Language for all Levels at Sydney University. For many, many years now I have been teaching German now as a Freelancer and Private Language Tutor offering individual one on one lessons online.

My lessons are for Teenagers from 13 years of age and adults. I welcome all Levels, also absolute Beginner learner. Maybe you'd like to learn German for personal reasons or maybe you need me to prepare for your HSC in German. Maybe you need help with homework or maybe you are going to move to a German speaking country for work. I'd be delighted to guide you with the expertise and experience I have gained.

Atypical class can be between 60min and 2 hours long. We can schedule classes flexibly, either weekly or fortnightly. Whatever suits your schedule. These days I try to schedule my classes between Mondays and Wednesdays.

I really like for you to take advantage of a free trial class. This way we can chat about your short and long-term goals and you can get to know my teaching style. I have no expectations for you to continue afterward.

I am responsible, very eager to reach fluency in German with you and guide you to exam results with flying numbers.

I am really looking forward to connecting with you!
Susanne

I found Susanne online. She helped me to pass my HSC in Sydney. I became the best student of the school in German thanks to Susanne. She helped me not only to become fluent, but to understand German with all its complexity. She is patient, kind, very generous with her time, understanding and also wonderful to be around. I took classes with Susanne for 1,5 years. I was able to schedule classes flexibly and even when I was away she had a plan and structured homework for me. The journey with Susanne was so worth it. In every single lesson I learned so, so much and homework after a while felt easy. Susanne focused heavily on conversational skills, while she is so creative and can turn every boring exercise into fun. I can't recommend her enough. My parents and I will contact her again, when I study at University.

My expertise and my experience shows that my fees are not expensive. The reason is that I know how to guide you effectively, straight forward and clearly (structured). There is a skill and an art behind teaching.

It is not enough the be a Native German , which I am also. And it's not enough to just teach from a book. My University degree in German as Foreign Language, my 10 years employment at Sydney University as a German Lecturer and my 15 years experience in offering one on one tutoring is the hourly fee worth.

You can learn with a friend and the hourly rate will be the same! You simply split the cost. You could learn with 2 friends, and the hourly rate stays the same. You simply split the fee.

Also, classes can be taken once a month and I'd guide you with homework still to your goal.

Try the 60min free class (I am happy to add a 15min chat about your vision and goal) and we can also negotiate the fee a little, if you'd liek to work with me. You won't be disappointed.
