About Elyse
I am the leader of a World Language Department for a public school district in New York. I have been teaching for 25 years and have taught at the middle school level as well as the high school level. I have training in the International Baccalaureate program and have had excellent student results on the AP exam. I am passionate about language learning and I love teaching!

I believe that each mode of communication is interwoven with the others. Oral and written expression are key components in being able to use the language proficiently. Language learning should not be confined to grammar concepts but rather with a focus on interpretive and expressive skills. Any language is best learned through a literacy approach.
