About Maeve
I am a graduate of UCC, where I studied Japanese in first year, but majored in German and Irish. I also studied a number of linguistics modules, which gave me an insight into topics such as language acquisition and translation strategies and practices. I spent a year studying in Germany, where I met people from all over the world. I have completed a number of speech and drama exams and have participated in multiple public speaking and debating competitions in English, Irish and German. I have recently obtained a Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and would love to share my skills and knowledge with others.

As a former student of languages, I am familiar with how overwhelming learning a language can be. I tailor lessons with the student's needs, interests, learning style, strengths and weaknesses in mind to ensure every lesson is enjoyable, challenging and worthwhile. I am committed to creating a friendly atmosphere and building trust with my students, so they feel comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback. Lessons are 1 hour long, but this is flexible.
