McIntosh (who goes by Mac) has been drumming since childhood and has been teaching undergraduates in their philosophy labs for several years now. He is an immensely talented drummer, writer, and teacher - as he truly loves his subjects of focus - and is a patient, compassionate person who happily meets students wherever they're at; Mac has taught and tutored students in drums and writing across a broad age-range (from kindergarteners to college students) and has gotten nothing but positive feedback. He truly loves helping people learn and approaches teaching from an egalitarian perspective in which he respects students and accommodates their unique learning needs. Mac is the best of both worlds - he is both incredibly knowledgable and an incredibly skilled and devoted teacher.

I know McIntosh as he is my daughter’s partner. I have had the opportunity to get to know him well. McIntosh is as earnest and respectful a person as I’ve ever met.
