About Barbara
I am a senior physics major at Arizona State University. I have worked as a Writing Mentor there for nearly three years. The Writing Mentor position has given me extensive experience tutoring English in an online setting. I have also taken part in NASA professional development academies that incorporated projects that required extensive practice with writing skills. I have shown strong writing skills in all of my classes. In my freshman year, I showed an essay I was working on to a writing tutor who normally worked with graduate students, and she assumed that I was a graduate student as my writing was on their level.

I have worked as a Writing Mentor at my university for nearly three years. In the Writing Mentor position, I supported students throughout an English composition course in a variety of ways. I provided feedback on weekly discussion posts and gave detailed feedback on project drafts. I also posted weekly newsletters with additional resources and answered student e-mails.
I am available to tutor elementary school through college students on any kind of writing. I am able to give advice at any stage of the writing process, whether you need brainstorming help or need advice for how to revise a draft. My tutoring style is positive and supportive. My tutoring price is $40 per hour.
