All people who aspire to distinguish themselves through excellence in their writing abilities, whether in pursuit of academic achievement or career success, benefit most from diligent study and practice along
two fundamental paths. The first is foundational, growing vocabulary while mastering the laws of grammar, usage, sentence structure, and voice. The second is experiential. In writing, this is an appropriately organized study of the work of established authors in the fields and genres of one's endeavor, coupled with steady practice in composition. Once established along these corresponding pathways, the student and I may begin work on structure and style fitted to the writer's objectives, at a pace appropriate to need.
