About Lanaiyah

I am a dedicated and reliable English tutor with a strong academic background, having achieved a grade 7 in both GCSE English Language and Literature and currently studying English at A-level. I am committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism in every lesson, ensuring that students feel supported, respected, and motivated to learn. Through my experience tutoring younger siblings and assisting younger pupils in school, I have developed patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles. I take pride in creating well-structured, engaging lessons that build both skill and confidence, while maintaining a positive and encouraging learning environment. About the lesson

I would be a strong English tutor for children from Reception to Year 6 because I combine solid academic ability with a patient and supportive teaching style. I achieved a grade 7 in both GCSE English Language and Literature and am currently studying English at A-level, giving me a strong understanding of the subject and how it is taught. I also have hands-on experience supporting younger learners, including tutoring my siblings and helping younger pupils in school, which has helped me develop the ability to explain ideas clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and build confidence in students. My teaching approach focuses on making lessons engaging, interactive, and tailored to each child’s needs by breaking down complex ideas into simple steps, using creative activities and examples, encouraging questions, and building strong foundations in reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension while providing positive feedback. Each lesson would typically last one hour, allowing time to review previous learning, introduce and practise new skills, complete activities, and give feedback. My lessons are suitable for children aged 4–11 of all abilities, including those who need extra support or are preparing for SATs, with the aim of improving both their skills and confidence in English
