About Isla

I am someone who loves to teach others and help them to grow and improve their skills. I am deeply passionate about music, and all things surrounding it. I love to write songs in my spare time, and explore new areas of music. I started learning the ukulele at a young age, but quickly grew out of that and took more interest in the acoustic guitar. Since then I’ve been playing for eight years with lessons every week by professional guitar tutors, as well as learning music and theory in school. I love teaching and helping others especially when it comes to music!

About the lesson

I will to teach the foundations of the acoustic guitar, with some music theory too. The student will get to learn their favourite beginner songs, as well as some funky classics. I have three guitars at home so I am able to provide for the student, as well as some beginner work books they can take home and practise with. I like to have a good jam, so each lesson will end with a fun song or challenge for the student. We will set goals and tasks for the student to work towards that can be ticked off as they learn and grow. I will also teach them the basics of song writing if they’re interested, as it’s one of my favourite hobbies.
