About Yuanping
I am a hard worker, as I started playing the piano at the age of 8. I love playing the piano as it brings a sense of tranquillity in the day, whilst providing stability in my routine.
I can understand and relate to the struggles which my students may have to face when improving; however, I will not let them make excuses, as I know that these struggles are what make you stand out in the future.
I am a confident pianist, and I will encourage my students to be confident on stages and in exams.
I have other hobbies, including sports, which helps people build a strong mindset of resilience.

About the lesson

My piano lessons will include detailed feedback on improving their scales and pieces as I work to build their skills as a pianist and prepare them for performance exams or upcoming competitions.
My theory lessons will start from the basics if necessary, as I prepare to feel confident in taking ABRSM theory exams.
For younger students, I encourage 1/2 hour lessons to not overload them with knowledge; however, for older students, I can offer 1-hour lessons to learn as much as possible every week.
I have completed all my piano grades up to Grade 8 as I currently work on my diploma, and I have received a distinction in Grade 5 Theory ABRSM. I have taught students before at school, and I enjoy watching students improve.
My lessons are targeted at children from age 10 upward, teenagers and young adults who have an interest in learning the piano. I accept beginners, intermediate and advanced pianists as I can provide support to all those levels.
