About Jennifer

US-certified teacher with experience in IBDP, AP, and A-level curriculums. 20 years of experience from 5-year-olds to college students and have taught in the US, the UAE, and Jordan. BA in French and Secondary Education with a minor in Spanish from Goucher College, Maryland USA. Master's in French from Middlebury College, Vermont USA.

About the lesson

I believe in providing personalized and effective lessons to help students achieve their academic goals. My approach is based on understanding the unique needs and learning styles of each student. I tailor the lessons accordingly and work with the student's teacher (if possible) to make sure everything is covered as well as work on specific areas that need improvement.

My tutoring methodology is student-centered and focused on promoting active learning. I believe in engaging students in the learning process by encouraging their participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I employ a variety of teaching strategies, including explanations, discussions, hands-on activities, visual aids, and practice exercises.

I am highly qualified with 20 years of experience (from KG to University level) and am an extremely passionate teacher. I assess individual student needs, identify areas of improvement, and develop personalized lesson plans. I not only have a strong academic background but also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing me to establish a rapport with students and create a comfortable learning environment.

During a typical private tutoring session, students can expect a focused and supportive learning experience. The lesson will begin with a brief review of previous concepts to ensure a solid foundation. I will then introduce new concepts, provide clear explanations, and demonstrate problem-solving techniques. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and actively participate in discussions.

I emphasize practice and application to reinforce understanding and assign relevant exercises, practice problems, or readings for independent study. Students can expect to receive constructive feedback on their work, highlighting areas of improvement and offering guidance for further development.

Furthermore, I aim to foster a positive learning environment that encourages students' confidence, curiosity, and independence. I provide encouragement, motivation, and mentorship to help students overcome challenges and reach their academic goals.

For those needing help with French, I am available for any level, especially the higher level classes, and for Spanish, I can tutor up to level 2.
