With over five years of professional experience as a developer, data scientist, and analyst, I bring both technical expertise and a passion for teaching to the role of coding tutor. My background includes working across diverse industries such as mining, rail, and consulting, where I developed and delivered analytics applications, wrote clean and efficient code in Python, R, SQL, and C#, and collaborated with teams to solve complex problems.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to break down complex programming concepts into clear, understandable steps. I know firsthand the challenges of learning to code, and I’ve mentored colleagues and junior developers by tailoring explanations to their learning style—whether that’s through hands-on examples, visual explanations, or real-world problem-solving scenarios.
I also understand the importance of building confidence as well as technical skills.
