About Siobhan
I am Siobhan and I began my teaching career in 24. Initially, I trained as a primary school teacher and have 5-years experience teaching all subjects from Yr3-6, but in 2019 decided to make the transition to SEND where I have truly found my passion. I have loved teaching autistic students initially teaching all subjects to students from Yr 6-8 before moving to be the Upper Phase lead in September and delivering GCSE/ELC Biologby and Humanities subjects to secondary aged students through to Year 11. Teaching SEND students is truly my passion and I believe as much time needs to be spent focusing on pastoral support and getting to know the students as educational support in order the ensure success

I believe that learning should be meaningful and fun. Within my teaching, I make lessons as engaging as possible and ensure lots of opportunities to recap and ask questions. Working with autistic students means that I always try and plan learning experiences to fit their special interests encouraging creativity within learning and making learning opportunities meaningful to them.
