About Gloria
Imagine hitting a difficult chord change perfectly for the first time because we slowed the tempo down to a manageable crawl. I observe your hand placement closely to ensure we correct any tension before it becomes a habit. My 13 years of experience mean I know when to introduce new theory concepts and when to let you simply play.
I provide custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home during the week. We will work through songwriting and rhythm guitar while keeping the atmosphere light. It feels quite different to learn when you have recorded tracks to play over after our time ends.
Sometimes we stop to talk about gear or how to keep your instrument in top shape for years. I am confident that these structured practice sessions will make a noticeable difference in your technical ability.

Calloused fingers pressing against steel strings tell a story of dedication that I share with every student. I hold a BA English and BM Guitar from Humber College which grounds my approach in both theory and expression. Teaching 442 students has taught me that musical intuition requires a solid foundation in scales and modes. My 13 years of experience allow me to explain chord transitions with total clarity.
I focus on technical precision so that you can play blues progressions with ease. Developing a student's rhythm is just as important as mastering barre chords or lead guitar nuances. I find that consistent maintenance and proper tuning habits change how you perceive your instrument.
My identity as a first-generation Canadian music teacher informs how I create an inclusive space for all. I look forward to helping you find your own unique sound on the fretboard.
