About Tessa
I am a piano tutor and professional composer with 4 years of teaching experience. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition with a Piano Emphasis. My lessons are designed for musicians of all levels, from beginners discovering the instrument to advanced students developing expressive voices.
My teaching focuses on improvisation and spontaneous composition. I guide students in creating original pieces while strengthening technique, theory, and musicality. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and interests, making learning both fun and meaningful.
Students explore melodies, harmonies, and rhythms while building confidence in their creative skills. I provide exercises in improvisation, composition, and performance, fostering independence and musical exploration. My goal is to help students enjoy music as a lifelong journey.
I love helping musicians find their own voice, whether through creating new music or refining their interpretation of existing works. Music is about expression, curiosity, and discovery, and I guide students to embrace all three in every lesson.

I focus on teaching piano in a way that is practical, modern, and fun. My lessons include pop piano techniques, playing by ear, chord voicings, and arranging contemporary pieces. Students learn songs they love while building strong skills.
I work with hobbyist adults and pop players to help them play confidently and creatively. Lessons emphasize playing by ear, understanding song structures, and exploring chord voicings. Students develop musical independence.
We practice pop rhythms, voicings, and arrangements to make songs expressive and personal. Improvisation and creativity are encouraged in every lesson. The sessions are structured to provide clear progression while keeping them enjoyable.
Students unlock the secrets of pop piano, building both skill and confidence. By the end of each lesson, they can play songs they enjoy and improvise their own arrangements. Learning becomes practical, inspiring, and exciting.
