About Shreya
I’m currently pursuing my Master of Public Health at Rutgers University after recently graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in Microbiology. Outside of academics, dance has been a huge part of my life. I was the captain of UMass Amherst’s Bollywood dance team, Jazba, and founded Amherst Agni, a Bollywood dance competition at UMass that brought together dancers and teams from across the community. With years of experience performing and leading dance teams, I’m excited to share my passion for Kuchipudi and Bollywood dance with students and help them build confidence, technique, and a love for dance.

I’ve been practicing Kuchipudi for 16 years and recently completed my Rangapravesam, marking an important milestone in my dance journey. I’ve had the opportunity to perform on many large stages and at cultural events, including TANA, TTA, and other major Indian-American community events. I’d love to share my passion for Kuchipudi and Bollywood dance with students in NYC. My lessons are welcoming and personalized, whether you’re a complete beginner, want to build your technique and confidence, or are preparing for a performance. I hope to make every lesson fun while helping students connect with Indian culture through dance.
