About Kaya
With over 9 years of experience teaching both in-person and online, I am passionate about helping students of all ages and levels find joy and confidence in playing the piano. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, which has given me a strong foundation in technique, interpretation, and artistry.
My lessons are designed to create an engaging, supportive environment where students actively participate and grow as complete musicians. I believe that learning piano is more than mastering keys—it’s about understanding musical intent and expressing emotion through sound. Each lesson blends history, theory, and technique with creativity, allowing students to explore music with both structure and imagination.
I take pride in adapting my teaching style to suit every learner, from beginners discovering their first notes to advanced and professional-level players refining their skills. Students are encouraged to develop well-rounded musicianship through ear training, performance practice, and critical listening. I also incorporate discussions on musical context and expression to deepen understanding and connection with each piece.

I encourage students to compose their own pieces and interpret music in their unique way.
For students seeking calm and emotional expression, I create a relaxed learning space where the piano becomes a form of self-discovery and joy. For those aiming to perform or create, I focus on musical storytelling, harmony, and composition techniques. Using tools like metronomes, digital keyboards, and recording software, we track progress and enhance listening skills. My goal is to help every learner gain confidence, discipline.
